Rollo was founded in 2018 to develop a smart, safe, and fun zero-emissions micromobility vehicle for urban streets.  At the core of its hardware design, the Rollo smart scooter achieves unmatched rider stability, maneuverability, and comfort. Rollo’s advanced technology design enables three modes of control: rider, remote pilot, and autonomous. Designed and built in California, Rollo’s unparalleled street worthiness and advanced technology has unlocked a new world of urban transportation.

Before founding Rollo in 2018, Ryan McLean worked with exceptional teams in both the public and private sector. His experience as an experimental astrophysicist collaborating on NASA space flight missions combined with his years running international operations as COO in the consumer goods market, he brings a skilled perspective to Rollo and its exciting endeavors. Ryan holds a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Colorado, Boulder; a Business Management degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
